I'm The Man
Man’s presence in the church has faded over the years. On any given Sunday there are 13 million more adult women than men in America’s churches. To combat this gender gap, churches want to touch the heart and soul, and acknowledge the importance of men in the church and the community but feel that they lack the tools to do so.
I’m the Man is not a challenge. It’s a statement. Whenever a man claims “I’m the man”—there’s a sense of confidence, boldness, and self-assertiveness. Men need to be affirmed and need that same confidence to proclaim, “I’m the man!” when it comes to his family, the community, and the church. Not because he chooses, but because God has called him to be.
LifeWay wants to aid you in making men realize their calling and responsibilities. Do this by taking the I’m the Man theme and attitude to use in your church to kickoff or reenergize a men’s group.
Encourage your men through empowerment, showing their value and worth in an authentic way. And make iron sharpen iron.
